I saw this gem as I was leaving the office yesterday. It's at least 8 years old, but it looked brand-spanking new. Not even the tiniest imperfection in that Obsidian Black finish.

man I hate owning black cars, but I sure like looking at them when someone else keeps it clean

i don't understand why people risk this.. my car is usually 6in to a foot behind the curb... because I'm a nervous wreck if I come close to hitting a stop, especially concrete...

I saw a similarly pristine one on Sunday:

... and it's still a $10k car on its best day. Still, be an epic ride for a while.

I had a black C300, that was the biggest pain in the ass ever, the car would always look dirty and i could never take it anywhere to get washed. I'd always have to wash it myself (not complaining). because a lot of carwashes around here use COTTON towels and not microfiber, if they have microfiber good luck. because they usually have a dirty one that has "cleaned" the past 20-50 cars.

-will never own a black car again...

yeah not willfully. The last one wasnt too bad, Volvo wagon with a whole lot of miles, and I tried to keep it as clean as possible. That was a long time ago and I am never going back! http://oppositelock.jalopnik.com/back-when-505-…

Haha, this is one of those cases where "when you go black you never go back" but seriously though. I bought a white car immediately after! Hides the swirl marks well!

wow you kept that car in extremely good condition! Nice!

Depreciation is a beautiful thing, assuming you use it your advantage.

The W215 never did anything for me. Now, the W216 on the other hand...

I have no clue, the car next to it is doing it right. Also I hate people who park with their wheels all turned, unless you're on a hill and your car is a manual just put the wheels straight.

CL 55's of that vintage actually fetch high teens and above.. but the non-supercharged, pre-facelift cars, sure, 10k if the miles are high enough
